UPDATE (mar 3 08)  -the area on the hull is where the PO buffed the gelcoat off, which will be remedied by a new paint job which was needed anyway.. and the area on the interior must have been impact damage from the inside, perhaps someone’s head, but will be fixed by repairing that area with epoxy.

I have found two spots on the boat that have me a little worried. I’m sure they can be fixed, in the spirit that ‘anything can be fixed’ but I’m just not sure what I’m seeing and how to address it.. if you can help shed some light please let me know!
